Ghost Donuts
These adorable mini baked ghost donuts are the perfect sweet treat for Halloween! Super easy to whip up, they’re soft, fluffy, and dipped in a spooky white candy coating. With flaked almond hands and a cute floating tail, these ghostly goodies will be the highlight of any Halloween party.
Ingredients:
- 120g all-purpose flour
- 50g granulated sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 160ml milk
- 60g butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla paste
For Decorating:
- White candy melts
- Flaked almonds (for ghost hands and tail)
- Black candy melts or black icing (for eyes and mouth)
- Pink candy melts for cheeks
Instructions:
Prepare the Donut Batter:
- Preheat the oven to 200c and grease your mini donut pan with non stick spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt.
- In another bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Bake the Donuts:
- Pipe the batter into the greased mini donut pan, filling each cavity about halfway.
- Bake for 7-8 minutes or until the donuts are golden and spring back when touched.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Decorate the Donuts:
- Press pieces of flaked almonds on the sides to create “ghost hands” and a few at the bottom for a "floating tail."
- Melt the white candy melts according to the package instructions.
- Dip each mini donut in the melted candy, coating it completely to resemble a ghost.
- Use melted black candy add ghostly eyes and a mouth and pink to add to cheeks.
