Jam Cookies

Fill your Christmas cookie box with a touch of nostalgia! These buttery jam cookies are a timeless favorite, featuring delicate swirls and a sweet jam center. Easy to make and beautifully festive, they’re the perfect treat to share or gift this holiday season.

Ingredients:

- 120g unsalted butter, softened

- 80g icing sugar

- 1 egg, room temperature

- 1 tsp vanilla paste

- 200 all-purpose flour

- 1 tsp baking powder

- Pinch of salt

- 60g strawberry jam (or your preferred jam)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 190°C. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

3. In another bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar until creamy. Add the egg and mix until smooth.

4. Gradually sift the dry ingredients into the butter mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms.

5. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip (e.g., 1M). Pipe cookies onto the tray, leaving space between them.

6. Use your finger to press the center of each cookie and fill the indent with jam.

7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

8. Cool before serving. Enjoy!
