Strawberry Delight! Transform simple sugar cookies into adorable strawberry shapes using heart and star cookie cutters. Perfect for summer picnics or a sweet treat anytime!

Ingredients:

- 225g butter (room temperature)

- 200g caster sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla paste

- 1 medium egg

- 2 teaspoons baking powder

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 360g all-purpose flour

- red and green gel colour

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 175°C. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

2. Prepare the Dough:

   - Cream butter and sugar until smooth (about 3 minutes).

   - Beat in vanilla paste and egg.

   - In a separate bowl, combine baking powder, salt, and flour.

   - Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Mix until dough pulls away from the sides. If too dry, knead by hand until smooth.

3. Colour, Cut and Bake:

   - Colour 1/4 of the cookie dough with a few drops of green gel colour and the rest of the cookie dough with a few drops of red gel colour.

   - Roll out the dough on a floured surface.

   - Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter (6cm) to make the strawberry shapes.

   - Space out the heart cookies on a baking sheet. Then use the star cutter to cut tops for the leaves to slot in.

   - Use a small star-shaped cutter (3cm) to cut out the top section for the leaves.

  - Fit the leaves like a jigsaw puzzle piece and slot them into the heart.

   - Finally add the seed marks with a toothpick, piping tip or a oval fondant cutter.

   - Bake for 6-8 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.

   - Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a cooling rack.

Enjoy your strawberry-shaped cookies!
